Here is the 4th Grade poem, inspired by a plush
"Felix the Cat" toy from the "magic suitcase."

FELIX THE CAT

Felix is a cartoon cat that lives on a show.
Around his neck he likes to wear a little red bow.
He's got a tiny little mouth and great big eyes.
Since he's a cat, he lives nine lives and never dies.
He's a cat that has no toes.
He's a cat with a big, black nose.
He sat upon a flying fish
and flew to Australia, as that was his wish.

Here is the 5h Grade poem, inspired by a plush,
orange M&M doll with an angry face, from the "magic suitcase."

CRUNCHY MAN

There was an M&M that was very sad.
He tried to take a nap, but instead got mad.
When you hear me say this, try not to tear.
He and his Skittle girlfriend broke up after a year.
His family is green and very mean.
He cried out loud and made a scene.
Then his friend, a Peanut Butter Cup,
told him a joke that cheered him up!

Here isa poem by Bianca, a 5th grader at Oxbow Elementry

THE ANGRY M&M

The angry M&M wears tennis shoes.
He never wears the blues.
His dad and mom are green
like brocoli in a Lean Cuisine.

Here is a poem by Alyssa, a Fifth Grader
in Mrs. Dunleavy's class at Oxbow

I once knew someone — he was an M&M.
He was a round little guy all orange and shy.
He has a loop on his back and is very fat.
His parents are green and they always make a scene.
He has two sisters one is blue and one is pink.
He also has a brother that is green and also very mean.
He has a pet pig and this pig was no regular pig.
This pig had 3 snouts instead of just one
and the weird thing about this pig was that this pig was a purple pig.
His favorite sport is M&M tennis and he always wins know matter what.
Whenever he's angry he folds his arms and squishes his face.

This is a poem by Sara from a fifth grader from Oxbow

LOOP FRENZY
Who is angry, frowning and forgot his nap?
Who is still wearing his night time cap?
It's Mr. Orange the m&m mini?
Did he lose his little guinea?
Humans say he's very small,
but all he says is Ha Ha Ha!
"I'm not small nor am I big,
I'm just the right size a fig,
Not a pig ,a fig"
He's mad but why?
What could cause this terrible sight?
Did he lose his kite?
He's mad because of his loop on his back
It hurts,It hurts he yelled and he screamed,
Than Uncle Butterfingers sorted everything out
He took out the tack that held in the loop.
The tack that held the loop on his back.
The frenzy loop it became to be known as from that day forward.

Here is an untitled poem by Paige

The orange candy is round and fat.

He went to work and forgot his hat.

He has two sisters one blue one yellow,

they really aren't that mellow.

His parents are kitkats,

they have lot's of pet bat's.

He has a brother who's name is Dell.

He is in the hospital because he broke his shell.

Here is a poem from Lindsey

Mad M&M
There once was an M&M named Chad,
And he always looked very mad.
Knowone quite knew what was wrong,
So his friend sang him a happy song.
Still his face looked sad and down,
So his mom took him to see a clown.
Whene his Uncle Granola came,
Chad was still in great shame.
Thene from very far away Flint,
Came lovey,dovey, Grandma mint.
Grandma mint knew what to do,
She didnt qwiete know why Chad was blue,
But she sure had a big enough clue.
She called Auntie sucker,
Her cheekes all a pucker,
So she came and sat beside that poor Chad,
And all of a sudden he was happy, glad!
Why Chad is now happy,
Well knowone quite knows,
But that my young fellow,
is how the story goes.
