Inspired by a a cartoonish seagull
from the Magic Suitcase

THE SEAGULL WHO THOUGHT HE WAS A BEAGLE

There once was a seagull named Doodle
who didn't use his noodle.
He thought he was a beagle,
although he was a seagull.

He had an accident in the house
and chased a cat who chased a mouse.
He chewed my homework and my shoes.
(Wait till my teacher hears the news!)

He scratched and scratched and barked all day,
'til finally, he flew away.
