The students who spent their day, while on break, at a Baldwin Library Poetry Workshop,
created the following poem, using alliteration, simile and metaphor.
A Blue Day
It was a blue, bright and beautiful day,
the kind you always want to stay.
The sky looked like a light blue crayon,
with clouds so white, like a pillow to lay on.
The sky was a pair of faded jeans,
so Mom had opened all the screens.
It was a blue, bright and beautiful day,
the kind that makes you want to play.
